Learning

Getting started

AutoScript comes with an integrated PyCharm development environment that performs autocompletion, and allows to browse the AutoScript Python object hierarchy. It will suggest which paramaters to pass to function calls, link you to the reference manual, etc.

To get started, AutoScript contains a host of examples ranging from automated image acquisition to scripted patterning and EDX acquistion & analysis.

  • Create a new project, leaving all paths as is
  • Add a main file (“AutoScript with Examples”) to the project
  • Modify the IP address and run the example
  • Start adding new components to your script using the AutoScript Snippets app.
